COFA has worked on a range of projects to provide the people of Africa with education, health care, housing and employment. The projects shown on this page are just a sample of our impactfull activities.


Caring Friends 4 Life

Caring Friends 4 Life is a Christian non-profit organization that sends short-term mission teams throughout South Africa in response to needs and requests from schools, communities and church bodies. Its programs include:

– Eyeglass Ministry

– Peer Education and Social Behavioral Change (YOLO)

– HIV /AIDS Awareness & Testing

– Community Mobilization and Awareness Campaigns

– Community Outreach Support and Caring (CCMDD)

– Health Awareness & Edutainment

COFA provided Caring Friends with access to its clinic on the campus of St. Peter Christian College and financial support for its services.

Agro-Max students

COFA-Uganda provided funding students to learn greenhouse farming technology from the Uganda program, Agro-Max.

Nxgen

COFA-Uganda helped train the workers at the Nxgen greenhouse. Click here for a video of the Nxgen project.

 
 

Kokajjo Low Cost

Housing Project

COFA-Uganda supported the renovation of a housing development in Kampala, Uganda in order to convert it into low-cost housing with 100 units for families and students.

 

Kamwenge Secondary and Vocational School STEM Center

Good Shephard Church, in Kamwenge, Uganda, has developed a educational campus in this rural part of Uganda that includes a preschool and primary, secondary and vocational schools. COFA-Uganda helped fund the construction of the STEM Center, which provides computer lab, library and offices.

Construction

COFA has helped fund construction at the St. Peter Christian College campus that is still ongoing. Local workers have been employed and trained throughout the construction period, some of whom have started their own construction business.
